Fantastiske skrifttyper er afgørende for godt design.

Regler for skrifttypeparring

Her er nogle grundlæggende regler for at skabe fantastiske skrifttypeparringer:

1. Komplement

Det er altid sikkert at finde skrifttyper, der komplementerer hinanden.

En god skrifttypekombination skal harmonere, uden at være for ens eller for forskellig.

2. Brug Font Superfamilies

En skrifttype-superfamilie er et sæt skrifttyper, der er designet til at fungere godt sammen. Så det er sikkert at bruge forskellige skrifttyper inden for den samme superfamilie.

For eksempel indeholder Lucida-superfamilien følgende skrifttyper: Lucida Sans, Lucida Serif, Lucida Typewriter Sans, Lucida Typewriter Serif og Lucida Math.

3. Kontrast er konge

To skrifttyper, der er for ens, vil ofte være i konflikt. Dog kontraster, gjort den rigtige måde, får det bedste frem i hver skrifttype.

Eksempel: At kombinere serif med sans serif er en velkendt kombination.

En stærk superfamilie inkluderer både serif- og sans serif-variationer af samme skrifttype (f.eks. Lucida og Lucida Sans).

4. Vælg kun én chef

Én skrifttype skal være chefen. Dette etablerer et hierarki for skrifttyperne på din side. Dette kan opnås ved at variere størrelse, vægt og farve.
